The baptism of Jesus in the Jordan river was such a powerful event–one of the few times in scripture that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all show up together. That alone is amazing! Why? John the Baptist prepared a space that brought honesty, humility, openness and transparency. And offense counteracts all of those things. When God moves, Satan will use the spirit of offense to remove the honesty, humility, openness and transparency that God desires you to live in.
